Youth Ministries

Healdsburg Community Church’s youth ministry exists to come alongside students as they begin or deepen their relationship with Jesus. Our hope is that each student discovers God’s love and chooses to follow Jesus for the rest of their lives. Along the way, we want to have a ton of fun and provide a place of belonging and connection for all students.

Opportunities for faith development are provided in the following ways throughout the year:

Outbound | For those looking to go deeper into scripture, applying the teachings of Jesus to everyday life, Outbound is the place for you. Outbound is an outdoor adventure program designed with spiritual formation in mind. The goal of Outbound is to provide youth in the Healdsburg community opportunities to better connect with themselves, with each other, and with God, all via engagement with the outdoors.

Once a month, the Outbound team will embark on an outdoor adventure designed to help them engage with God and scripture on a more physical lever. Such events may include hikes, camping, skiing, or rock climbing. On either side of each adventure (the Thursday before and the Thursday after) the team will come together for what’s known as “Basecamp.” Here students will debrief on their adventure, and engage in small group discussion, tying their experience to Scripture, and what God might be teaching them in their own lives.

Mission Trips | Each Summer the youth group plans a week long mission trip, where our goal is to serve God through the service of others. Mission trip dates and locations are often communicated in late fall/early winter so that students and parents may plan accordingly.

Special Events | Youth trips and outings are scheduled throughout the year and are communicated at small group times, via the church bulletin on Sunday mornings, and via emails to parents.

For more detailed information, to participate in any youth event, or to be added to the youth mailing list, please contact Kyle Price at kyle@healdsburgcommunitychurch.org. Students must also have a current medical release form on file. Please click here for the Youth Release Form.

Opportunities to Serve | We believe high school and junior high students also have a lot to offer and that it’s never too early to learn to follow Jesus by serving others. Play an instrument? Want to take care of toddlers? Love tech things? If you said yes to any of these things, we’d love to talk to you about how you can serve.
